Supporting Young Carers at Reepham College

Reepham College works in partnership with The Benjamin Foundation and Carers Matter Norfolk to identify and support young carers within our community.

We are committed to ensuring every student has the support they need to enjoy a positive college experience and reach their full potential. We understand that responsibilities outside of college can sometimes affect attendance and progress, and we are here to help.

Through our dedicated support and external partnerships, we provide personalised guidance for students and their families, helping them stay on track and achieve their goals.

Our support includes:

• Regular check-ins and tailored pastoral support from our Student Manager: dlarcombe@reephamhigh.org.uk
• Flexible approaches to learning, including consideration around homework and deadlines
• Awareness among staff of each student’s caring responsibilities
• Access to financial support through our Bursary Fund (where eligible)
• A dedicated safeguarding team focused on student wellbeing and safety
• Signposting to local support groups, organisations, and events for young carers in Norfolk such as The Benjamin Foundation | Children, Young People, and Families -  and Young Carers and Families Support Norfolk | Carers Matter
